Fishing Report Lake Minnewaska 10/18/2017

10/18/2017 - Fishing Report for Lake Minnewaska -

Fishing has been very good on Minnewaska, the fall bite is defianlty in full swing around here. Before sunrise, and about 2 hours after sunset are

your best times to catch the walleyes, anywhere from 15-22 feet of water. What's been working best for me is a gold jig tipped with a golden shiner.

If you plan on doing some night fishing in the shallows, they have been pulling cranks and doing well with that too. Sunfish are still very active

and hungry as well. Reno has been a little slower then normal. With the water temps cooling the crappies and walleye's should start soon.

Pheasant Opener wasn't the best in the area, you can tell the population is down. However, there is still a lot of corn standing and

that could be a big part of it. We are geared up for all the fall activities, deer hunting, archery hunting, duck and goose, plus pheasant. We have

plenty of shells in stock, included steel shot, pheasant and target load. We also have some bigger size sucker minnows in stock for the guys

fishing for muskies, they sell fast, so you may want to call before you come to make sure we have them.
