Lake Minnewaska Fishing Report 5/19/2017
Fishing Report Lake Minnewaska 5-19-2017
This years 2017 opener wasn't bad, considering the weather. It was almost too hot and calm for the walleye's
to be active. However, the morning bite was very good. Fisherman got plenty of walleye's in that 6-14 feet of
water range using a jig and a shiner minnow. Pitching into the weeds and also trolling along the weed lines.
A lot of fisherman were out in the 'Hole' as we call it, right off the High School Bar, in 20-25 feet of water. I know it
doesn't seem right, but it's true. So if you are struggling with the walleye's, go deep - you might be surprised
what you get. We still have a full supply of minnows including Lake Shiners, and we got in Jumbo Leeches
now as well. Stop in and check out all our great tackle sale we have going on now through Memorial Day Week-end.
